Think of it this way…Imagine a bank account for your thoughts. When you spend your thoughts in a negative way, you are purchasing negative for your life. When you spend your thoughts in a positive way, you are purchasing positive possibilities for your life.

You might choose to read these words as modifying our neural pathways over time and the way those patterns interact and create feedback with the world around us. Or you might choose some deeper, more mystical interpretation. Either way, it’s good, grounded advise.

How Are You Spending Your Thoughts?

I came across this today unexpectedly and thought it was really good, when I looked at the author, it was me! in 2011…go figure

 

Who are you spending your thoughts on? 

Clients…people you love…future clients? What about people you don’t like so much or are jealous or angry with?

 

Take an inventory of who you are spending your thoughts on today.

If you don’t want the best for a person,

If you don’t like someone,

If you are angry with someone,

Imagine, if you spent your thoughts more positively, how much freer you are to pursue possibilities and enjoy peace.

 

If you are spending your thoughts on someone in a negative way, that negative is going to seep into other areas of your life.

When you spend your thoughts on someone in a positive way, that productive, positive thought choice will influence other areas of your life.

 

Think of it this way…Imagine a bank account for your thoughts. When you spend your thoughts in a negative way, you are purchasing negative for your life. When you spend your thoughts in a positive way, you are purchasing positive possibilities for your life.

 

What do you want to purchase for your life and those around you?

If you have anyone you are negatively spending thoughts on, get to the truth about why. Process it and seek resolution in the appropriate way.  Make sure you get to the truth, if you don’t, you may still not be free of that seeping thought.

 

If you need help getting to the source of the problem, call your truth-talker and find the source, otherwise you will just continue to treat the symptoms and wonder why you aren’t feeling better.

 

Pick one person you spend negative thoughts on and do something about it today.
