OK. Now this is really cool. Check out the images that Mark Traphagen gets when he searches for “my photos of mountains” while logged in on Google+.

I did the same thing, with a search for “my photos of animals” and got this:

https://plus.google.com/u/0/photos/+GideonRosenblatt/albums/6107725248513259057

It even picked up a couple of pictures of spider webs. This says a couple interesting things:

1) Google’s image recognition is getting really good

2 ) Google is connecting that image recognition to its Knowledge Graph

Yes, Google image recognition is now this good…

Just did this search in Google while logged in to Google+. No, most of these photos are not tagged “mountains” nor do they have any text with them identifying them as mountains.

Also worked for me with:

my photos of ocean

my photos of buildings

my photos of rivers

my photos of drinks

my photos of stores (a few misses in this one)

my photos of bicycles

and many more.

What about…

my photos of children… yes, every photo had a child in it.

Now take it to the next level:

my photos of beach …. yes

my photos of beach with people …. YES! (only photos of beaches with people in them)
