“Go slow, to go fast.”

Networks can’t rely on the power structures that hold hierarchies in place, and that’s why trust is so darned important when it comes to making networks work.

The recent success of the People’s Climate March is a powerful example of what’s possible when different parts of the progressive movement coordinate. Over 300,000 people from all walks of life marched to demand action on climate change.

This is a good piece from a former colleague of mine, Jodie Tonita, who is doing really cutting-edge work connecting social change groups across North America. It’s worthwhile read, especially if you find yourself working a lot in informal collaborations and networks.
