Chinese companies and government agencies are now using on-the-job brain-scanning technology to improve employee performance and safety. The technology raises serious privacy and civil rights issues, however.

Yes, “improved understanding” is one way to describe it.

  1. They used to “improve understanding” with clubs. I can’t tell if this is an improvement, but I’m going to say it’s not. Minds are harder to repair.

  5. When the life of passengers is at stake I’d prefer robots but if that can help keep humans on the job, then why not? As with everything, it is a matter of not abusing it.
