Intelligent Machines and Us

Shape-Technology
Technology evolves, but not quite like biology. We humans generate supply and demand for innovation, and that creates technological change. The relationship is complicated; it’s true that humans do use technology, but technology also uses us. You could say the human economy is cultivating a new order of intelligence on the planet.

The Vital Edge tracks artificial intelligence, the Internet of things, bock chain technologies, and social networks and related engagement technologies.

As a means for simply maximizing returns for shareholders, these technologies serve as an uninspiring, and potentially dangerous seedbed for the next order of intelligence on the planet. As tools for noble purposes, however, these same technologies could lead to a very positive and friendly rise of whatever comes next.
